Our addiction treatment services for Schertz residents include medical detox and inpatient residential care for individuals experiencing substance use disorders. Whether someone needs support managing withdrawal symptoms or a structured environment where they can focus on recovery, our team provides individualized care through the important early stages of treatment.

For individuals and families searching for drug or alcohol rehab near Schertz, Texas, Alamo Behavioral Health can help explain available levels of care, answer questions about treatment, and identify options based on each person’s needs.

Addiction Treatment Options for Schertz, TX Residents

Substance use can impact far more than physical health. Addiction may affect emotional well-being, family relationships, employment, finances, and a person’s ability to manage everyday responsibilities. Entering a dedicated treatment environment can provide valuable distance from the routines, stressors, and triggers that may contribute to continued substance use.

At Alamo Behavioral Health, individuals from Schertz can receive structured addiction treatment based on their substance use history, current symptoms, recovery needs, and personal circumstances. Rather than taking the same approach with every client, treatment planning considers the individual and the level of support they may require.

Our levels of care include:

  • Medical detox for individuals who need professional support while withdrawing from drugs or alcohol
  • Inpatient rehab and residential treatment for individuals who benefit from 24-hour structure and a substance-free living environment

Determining the right level of care depends on factors such as the substances being used, withdrawal risks, previous treatment experiences, physical and mental health needs, and the individual’s current living environment. Our team can discuss these factors and help identify an appropriate treatment option.

Medically Supervised Detox Near Schertz

For people who have developed physical dependence on alcohol or certain drugs, detox may be necessary before beginning the next phase of addiction treatment. Withdrawal symptoms can range in severity, and attempting to suddenly stop certain substances without professional supervision may carry medical risks.

Our medical detox program near Schertz provides a supervised treatment environment where clients can receive monitoring and support as substances leave the body.

Throughout the detoxification process, the treatment team can monitor withdrawal symptoms, respond to potential complications, and provide appropriate medical care intended to make detox safer and more manageable.

Medical detox may be appropriate for individuals withdrawing from substances such as alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, and other drugs associated with physical dependence.

Completing detox is an important milestone, but it does not address every aspect of a substance use disorder. After becoming medically stable, continuing into addiction treatment can provide an opportunity to work on the behaviors, triggers, coping strategies, and other factors connected to substance use.

Residential Drug & Alcohol Rehab Near Schertz

For individuals who need ongoing structure after detox or require a higher level of support than outpatient care can provide, Alamo Behavioral Health offers inpatient residential addiction treatment near Schertz, TX.

During residential addiction treatment near Schertz, clients stay in a supportive, substance-free setting while participating in a structured schedule of treatment and recovery-focused activities. Living within the treatment environment allows clients to concentrate on their recovery while temporarily creating distance from many of the everyday pressures and triggers associated with substance use.

Residential treatment may be appropriate for people who:

  • Have struggled to stop using drugs or alcohol on their own
  • Have experienced repeated relapse
  • Need additional structure and accountability during early recovery
  • Have a home environment that makes recovery difficult
  • Need continued care after completing medical detox
  • Would benefit from temporarily stepping away from everyday triggers

Every person’s circumstances are different, which is why recommendations for treatment should be based on an individualized assessment rather than a standard approach for everyone.

Substance Use Disorders We Address

Addiction can develop around many different substances, and no two experiences with a substance use disorder are exactly alike. The type of drug being used, frequency and duration of use, degree of physical dependence, withdrawal history, and other health considerations can all influence treatment needs.

Alamo Behavioral Health provides substance use disorder treatment for people from Schertz and surrounding Texas communities who are ready to seek professional support for drug or alcohol use.

Treatment may be appropriate for people struggling with substances such as:

Our team can help determine whether medical detox, residential treatment, or a combination of services may be appropriate based on the individual’s needs.

Very poor experience. The facility is run down. The air conditioning was broken the entire time. I was told when I arrived that I’d receive one on one counseling sessions twice a week. I only received one session for about 10 minutes. It’s supposed to be for addiction and behavioral health but there is no behavioral health plan in place. The Addiction program was very poorly executed. They had several patients that needed significantly more help than they were able to provide. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Life-Changing Experience – A True 5-Star Facility! Alamo Behavioral Health exceeded every expectation I had. I was hesitant about entering treatment, unsure of what to expect, and overwhelmed by the logistics of taking time off work. From the moment I reached out, their team helped with everything—insurance paperwork, employer leave approvals, and all the calls and follow-ups that I had no idea how to navigate. That alone took a huge weight off my shoulders. The staff here are not only experienced but truly care about you. They are real, honest, and compassionate—no judgment, just support. I always felt safe, and the medical staff was incredibly attentive, answering all my questions and ensuring I was comfortable throughout the process. What really stood out to me was the leadership. The director and office staff were instrumental in easing my fears and making me feel like I belonged. This was my first time seeking treatment, and I can’t overstate how much that initial support meant to me. If you’re even considering making the call—do it. You won’t regret it.
